





Nordic eSport Championship
Planned and organised by the Nordic ASNs’ with assistance from iRacing and the FIA.
AKIS, the Icelandic ASN is responible for the running of the event on the day.
The format is as follows:
- Total of four drivers from each country
- Two drivers compete in FIA Formula 4 at the Snetterton 300 circuit and two in AMG-Mercedes GT3 at the Zolder circuit
- Each country decides how to select the drivers competing – check with your ASN for more info
- Race day is 26-April-2025 with competitors scheduled to arrive in Iceland the day before and leave the day after.
- GT Akademían Sim Center hosts the race at its facilities
Time-Attack - starts 21 - 30. March
Each country will choose drivers the way they see fit, see your ASN info.
Anyone is able to compete in the Time-Attack in iRacing and the countries can use that info if they so choose.
Time-Attach Qualifying starts on March 21 and ends March 30.

Event Information
Competition Format
NEC2025 is a National Team Tournament.
The date for NEC 2025 is 26-April-2025
Five nations are invited to send drivers to the tournament: Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Sweden.
Each nation sends 4 drivers to compete as a National Team;
- 2 National team drivers for FIA Formula 4 Class
- 2 National team drivers for GT3 Class
Drivers in both classes represent their respective nations as a National Team and accumulate points on their nations behalf throughout the tournament.
Drivers compete for the following titles:
- NEC 2025 Nordic Nations Champion (nation with most accumulated points from ALL races)
- Nations GT3 Champions (nation with most accumulated points from GT3 Class)
- Nations FIA Formula 4 Champions (nation with most accumulated points from FIA F4 Class)
- Individual GT3 Champion (individual winner of the Final GT3 race)
- Individual FIA Formula 4 Champion (individual winner of the Final FIA F4 race)
All point scoring will be done in accordance with the F1 points distribution (25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1)
Applies to both GT3 and FIA F4 classes; 2 preliminary sprint races determine the starting grid of the final race.
- Open qualification: Qualifying for starting grid positions in Sprint Race 1
- Sprint race 1: starting grid determined by quali.
- Sprint race 2: Inverse results of sprint race 1 determines the starting grid positions.
Drivers score points on behalf of their National Team for both Sprint race 1 and for Sprint race 2 in accordance with the points distribution table.
The Final Race is double the duration of a sprint race.
The Final Race’s starting grid positions are determined by the amount of points drivers have accumulated for their National Team from Sprint race 1 and Sprint race 2.
Individual Class Champion is determined by the race results from the Final Race. Drivers also score points on behalf of their National Team for the Final Race in accordance with the points distribution table.
Win conditions;
- Individual Nordic GT3 champion; is the winner of the Final GT3 race.
- Individual Nordic FIA F4 Champion; is the winner of the Final FIA F4 race.
- Nordic Nation GT3 Champion; is the nation with the most accumulated points in the GT3 Class.
- Nordic Nation FIA F4 Champion; is the nation with the most accumulated points in the FIA F4 Class.
- NEC 2025 Nordic Nations Champions; is the National Team that has accumulated the most points from ALL races.
National Qualifying for the tournament
ASNs from each nation are free to determine the manner in which their national team is selected.
Iracing will set up a time trial competition for NEC2025, intended to assist ASNs in selecting their team . This time trial will be open from February 12th, through 12th of April 2025.
Final list of competitors are presented no later than the end of 13th of April 2025.
Competition Environment:
The classes race on separate tracks. These are:
- GT3 racing at Zolder
- FIA F4 racing at Snetterton
Environmental settings will be set to allow iRacing to provide random realistic conditions based on a date, with no rain involved:
- GT3 – 26th April, normal timelapse, minus rain.
- FIA F4 – 18th August, normal timelapse, minus rain.
Hardware on site:
- VRS Direct Force Pro 20 NM motor.
- Fanatec V3 pedals with performance kit.
- 49” super ultrawide monitors (3840×1080).
- SRC rims – drivers can bring their own rims. QR1 quick release available on-site.
- Basic headphones supplied, which are not replaceable by drivers’ own.
Summary and timetable:
The NEC 2025 tournament consists of races in two different classes which are set as GT3 and FIA F4. These classes correspond to what FIA has been doing for the FIA Motorsport Games the last couple of times.
Each competition class will compete as follows:
- Free practice.
- Qualification.
- Race 1, with grid position determined by Qualification.
- Race 2, with grid position inverse results of Race 1 (reverse grid).
- Final, with grid position determined by accumulated points from Race 1 and Race 2.
All competitors entered will thus drive five times if the free practice is counted.
It is estimated that the competition will start at 9:00 and be finished by 17:00, with lunch and coffee breaks as much as possible.
A prize-giving ceremony will be held at the Icelandic Sports Federation headquarters 19:00 for 19:30 where superb light bites and finger food will be offered along with presentation of cups, trophies and souvenir awards.
